Aug 29, 2017 · Yeah, no such joy for me. Replaced the turbo, and it drives better. Almost none of the severe lag from a quick start as before, nor "as much" rattle noise from the engine. The old wastegate had like an 1/8" of play.. But still got a P0299 code. POS engine.

Jul 28, 2013 · On the forums I feel there is a bias towards failure. So, how many high mile B8 or B8.5's are there out there that haven't had any real failures (e.g. thermostat, DSG, etc).
